Yeah, that was my kid out there ... the only one with a face painted like William Wallace.

Excellent set of action shots. It sure looks like he is serious about the sport, which is just the way he needs to be. (I don't think I'd enjoy playing with a painted face however. Imagine trying to wipe away some sweat only to remember too late that your face was painted.)
The other boy in the bottom picture looks like the boy who lives next door. Amazing.
My son played soccer throughout high school but got a bad clip his senior year and damaged his knee. He eventually had to have reconstructive surgery on it. Now he's going to medical school. Coincidence?
He's cool all right. And who's William Wallace? I can see I'll have to Google his name. However, those looks like bonafide Gator colors to me.
I miss good old Micanopy. That's another real pretty, tiny Florida town. We were there last year for a wedding at the Herlong Mansion. It seemed to have frozen in time. I had my first bowl of turtle soup there, back in the uh...late 1980's. (seems like yesterday. where did the time go?!!) THe turtle soup tasted like chicken, by the way.
last, but not least..great action shots with the cam! Very cool.
Pablo, He really is serious about it. Unfortunately our school does not have a soccer team. He plays for a community league team. Hope your son's knee is back to 100% and congrats on a med school student. Good parenting!
Mrs. S, He gets that from his cheerleader Mom and sisters!
HTeen, No, that baseball diamond is just next to the soccer field.
Laura, I KNOW you saw Brave Heart. If not I'll loan ya' a copy. :) Micanopy is still a neat little town to visit. Tons of antique stores. I had turtle once and just like gator it left me a little fishy. Not my cup of tea. Thanks for the photo kudos. I deleted just as many that were not up to snuff.
You must be very proud of that son of yours. Great painted face. I didn't see the movie Braveheart, but I knew the paint reminded me of something. Great photos.
Um, one thing I remember about Micanopy (from the first batch of college days--back when indoor plumbing was new) was that there was an illicit fruit of an illicit weed known throughout FLA as Micanopy Madness. It's just something I HEARD about... I like it that your son seems to be his own man. A very good start.

That just means he has more team spirit than the others ;)
Are they playing soccer on a baseball field?! What a disgrace! :-D

Those are great action pictures of your son...not a bit of fuzz.
Abandoned,
I deleted the fuzz :)

Robin,
Always. He is very comfortable in his own skin.
Likes2mtnbike,
Yes, I think I heard of that too.
He looks a bit like a Screaming Banshee Warior to me! Nice photos!
ThunderD,
He's a Samurai wannabe.
