Friday Fay Feature

I was going to title this Friday Fay Festival ... but some folks are a little sensitive about me doing the happy Fay dance as they look out over their flooded homesites.

At this moment, a little after 8:00 am, we have had about two inches of rain over night from the outer bands of Fay.
Accuweather's current radar loop shows that the more substantial portion of Fay is on our doorstep at this time.

We've had no power issues so far, I've been up since 5:00 am enjoying the rain, the wind, and my hula dancing oak trees.
The tropical sheeting rainfall hasn't kicked in here yet, but I emptied 2 inches from the rain gauge last night, and at dawn I had another 2 inches in it, so we're at 4 inches and the storm is still on the front porch.

It's light enough now to go play in it, so I'm going to poke around with bagged camera and try to bring you some views of ... not a hurricane, just a tropical storm.

I'll post throughout the day electricity permitting and will do each photo upload as a separate post so if you are linked to Pure Florida you should know when updates occur.

Dja hear that?

The rain is definitely picking up outside ... I'm outta here ...

... back with something soon.

We've also had several inches of rain. Only lost one tree so far and still have power. Pretty good TS so far!

Take it! We don't want it anymore! :-(

We've had 4 days of non-stop, sideways rain. Bleh!

What's that bright ball of light in the sky? Oh, it might be the sun!

Thanks for sharing the storm! I'm a weather nut, so this will be fun to watch. I'd rather be in it, but I'm not above living vicariously.
