Pablo Made Me Think Of This

G
O

Pablo at RoundRock mentioned duck decoys in a comment today and it made me realize this was just around the corner. The Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston is really an amazing event. I used to go when I lived in Savannah and I'm sure it's even bigger and better now. Incredible paintings, incredible sculpture, incredible carvings, incredible sporting dog demos, incredible Charleston...whew!

This is really a class act and I don't mind shamelessly plugging them. The official website is SEWE .

This year it's February 17,18, and 19.

Go see some amazing wildlife art, eat some low country boil, and enjoy a beautiful historic city.Posted by Picasa

HA HA HA HA....Hey Cracker, please, please attend this years
Wildlife Expo in Charleston. JUST so you can eat dinner at Anson's.

That place served the best meal I've ever eaten in my life. Look, I HATE collard greens, they are simply wet and nasty....nope, collard greens do not pass these lips - except at Ansons! My dinner included collard greens on the plate. I skirted around them as best I could, but the meal was so fabulous I was tempted to take a bite. WOW - I scarfed up all those greens and was wishing for more!

Remember - dinner at Anson's! (They're not open for lunch) It's located over near the mule barn next to the Market area.

Pablo,
10-4. Been there, done that.

Zanne,
They didn't frufru them up did they? I am a traditionalist when it comes to food. I don't want chocolate in my beer, grapes in my chicken salad, or anything but ham hocks/bacon as the main seasoning in collards.
I do respect your opinion tho.

Oh, they were so awesome. Salty, and seasoned with ham hocks or pork jowl, can't figure out which. They were sooooo tasty I wanted to lick the plate. And no - there wasn't any frufru stuff.
