Olympus Mons

"Seen nearer, the Thing was incredibly strange, for it was no mere insensate machine driving on its way. Machine it was, with a ringing metallic pace, and long, flexible, glittering tentacles (one of which gripped a young pine-tree) swinging and rattling about its strange body. It picked its road as it went striding along, and the brazen hood that surmounted it moved to and fro with the inevitable suggestion of a head looking about. Behind the main body was a huge mass of white metal like a gigantic fisherman's basket, and puffs of green smoke squirted out from the joints of the simbs as the monster swept by me. And in an instant it was gone."

Things have been pretty crazy around here this week, what with the invasion by Mars and ...

... the volcano which has started forming in the front yard.

On top of that, it's EXAM week and I haven't pushed a shutter release button in days due to a hectic schedule.

I did get lectured by a lizard though and if time ever allows, I will share it with you.

Have a great Wednesday ... try to avoid the tripods.

I think you'll be OK if you have a cold. Just sneeze towards it.

Whatever happened with the oil-like substance on your property? Was it oil? Did you cash in?

I am looking forward to the lizard lecture. It's been a long time since I've heard one.

You are so smart. I had to google that quote to find out whence it came....and to get the Mars reference.
Nice volcano.

Was it a Florida lizard or a Martian one? :) I can't wait to hear this...

Mark,
Love those earth germs!

Susan,
Check the date on that post ... it was April 1.
;)

Robin,
I know, they're normally so quiet.

3C,
It's not me, it's the coffee, but thanks!

Sharon,
She had a southern accent ... probably Floridian or south Mars.

Once again you crack me up!

I've been pretty busy myself and have been working from dark to dark each day, so not so many photos. I'm supposed to finish up early today so hopefully I can get out and take some more photos.

35F here at noon, that's 11:00PM your time!
