Spring! Um, no, wait a minute. They won, didn't they? How delightful. Of course, they have been winning all season - just winning in those things that don't show up on the score board. But they show up big time later in life, and those girls are so lucky to have your guidance. Congrats to them and to you. mowgli
LOL - I'm a beard wearer and when I trimmed it recently I came back into the family room and my dog barked at me like a stranger. Shaving a beard changes the whole shape of your face. I and shockingly my wife would miss the facial hair if it went away for good. Cheers to you though.
I was thinking you might have been drafted but then I remembered how old you are- and that the girls were in a tight competition... Congratulations to the girls! Hooray! Nice coaching.
(I will never understand men and facial hair. At the risk of making a controversial comment, very few women like it much and yet every guy grows it periodically. Perhaps it's the shaving that gets tiresome, which explains why Northern girls often take 6 months off on their legs...)
Yea! on the win! that's great! And I have to take exception to the last comment. I LOVE facial hair on men and know other women who do also. In fact, my first thought was 'aaww, couldn't you have at least left a goatee?' :D
They are so pumped about this one win, it apparently wipes out all memory of our season record! Gotta love 'em!
We play a local rival Friday and then it's all done except for a tourney in Gainesville next week. I have to say I am ready for the end. I have a new respect for coaches and the time they put in.
As for the facial hair issue ... Men's Health did a survey and most women thought a beard made a guy look 5 years older than actual age. Yikes! I usually do take my winter beard off in stages, but this was a deal for the whole thing so no moustache or goatee remnants this time.
Totally unrelated ... the ice on my koi pond was over an inch thick today! DANG! Could I have stood on that, Yanks? (170lbs with big feet)
The answer is: Yes you can stand on that thickness of ice, but the real question is: For how long? ;-) Hey come on I work in R&D what kind of an answer did you expect?
I'm sure there is an impericle model that exists that will calculate the thickness of ice that can sustain that mass at rest on it's surface, but I'll have to look for it!

I'm glad they won one now, but I'm thinking it would have been nice if it were just a little warmer...
Hi Coach FC,

According to WikiHow 4" (10cm) thick ice should hold 200lbs, but they don't recommend trying anything less!
Thanks Dave!
Kevin,
Happy birthday! (belated)
Thanks. Yours is coming soon.
It means you just got better looking? I'm not a facial hair fan but love smooth face! Oh and congrats on the win.
