Oh This Will Be Great UNFUN!

It's hot out there so be sure and drink plenty of nectar while you are flitting about.
It's nine O'something in the morning and I am about to head out to do pre-house staining prep work.
This will basically "to draw in by creating a partial vacuum", but it must be done and the payoff will be a more efficient and better looking final product.
The good news is, Home Depot has a major rebate going on and the Behr Premium stain I want has a $20 rebate per 5 gallon bucket ... and I a will need a bunch of those.
I will be clipping and pulling plants away from the house, taking down some bad, and unneeded gutters, renailing a loose thingie here and there, fixing a couple of pieces of siding that are tired, power washing everything, and tackling all the unknown things that will pop up while I am doing the things I KNOW about.
I'll keep you posted on how it went.
Abientot!

When you're done, can you come to my house? I'll do the floors, but the outside needs painting and the roof needs washing (metal). The light colored roof seemed like a good idea in light of how much heat a roof can generate, but the light roof also shows every bit of mildew and dirt that falls out of the sky...

Oh my GAWD, where were you when we were choosing shingles for our retirement house? We thought the same thing, light shingles will reflect heat, right? NOBODY told us that they would show all that dirt. NOW we have asphalt shingles, what do we use to clean those? I say spray with bleach water then rinse really good. I have not researched it but we do need to clean the roof SOON. Any idea for clean that black stuff off our shingle roof?

How do you like your metal roof? That is on my SUPER WISH LIST. We want the silver metal not a painted color.

That's a major undertaking for such a hot day. Good luck!!

FC, you've been holding out those us Floridians who are less cultured. French??? Wow!

Hope you haven't found much of any 'unknown' problems! I know how that goes.
Stay cool.

Sayre,
Envious of that metal roofing. Our shingles are tired. We chose light shingles years ago and you'd never know it now. Dark and stained.

Tricia,
Welcome to Pure Florida!
I use a weak bleach solution too, but it never lasts long.

SandcastleMomma,
I went until it got too dark to see and knocked out a big chunk of the job list.
The heat really doesn't phase me.

FLBlogger,
Je sais juste assez de fran├žais pour me causer des ennuis!

Annie,
Minor ones so far! Knock on unwaterdamaged wood!
LOL!
You too, stay cool.

Is this a multi-lingual blog or what: I had to google translate the salutation at the end. Roughly translated as "See you soon."

Well done, FC! I'm sure Mrs. FC was pleased.

Robert,
I wish. That's leftover highschool Francais that I refuse to let die.

Miz S,
I think so. Actually Junior and Mrs. FC helped, ... I guess I made it sound like it was all me. Not so.
