That's KatieBug wheeling the pig scales into the pig pen. The scales belong to the school FFA program and the piggy parents and kids share them. With the fair only a few days away, everyone is weighing their show pigs. There is only this one pig scale, so we share.
"Hey Dean, do you have the pig scales?"
"I did, but Daniel picked them up this morning."
"Hey Daniel, mind if I come by and pick up the scales?"
"Call Billy, I just helped load them on his truck."
...and so it goes. Everybody cooperates and it never seems to be a problem.

What a great way to get to know the other kids and their families.. chasing pig scales around town :)
I remember visiting my uncles farm in Indiana. Not every farmer owned all the necesssary impliments but between the neighbors they did and they would share. The great part was who's ever farm they were working that day would provide lunch and boy, could those farm wives cook!
Leslie,
It's a great team building exercise. I'm surprised corporate America hasn't adopted it.
Mac,
Farm co-ops make so much sense. A $50,000 dollar piece of equipment that can be shared seems like a no brainer.
I love to watch kids show pigs at a youth fair. Pigs are so independant; I am always impressed by the way the young people manage them for the judge.
Threecollie,
You described it exactly. Independent pigs being escorted by nervous kids.
